Welcome to the Rainforest Hideaway!

The Rainforest Hideaway is a 5 star fusion restaurant and champagne bar nestled in one of the world's most beautiful bays, Marigot Bay, here in St. Lucia. Chef Jim, and his wife Carla, have conceived and built one of the finest restaurants on the island, with a pride which shines in every detail.

So, if you're looking for a superb restaurant, in an amazing location for that romantic meal for two, or your wedding celebration, make yourself comfortable...we're about to truly whet your appetite!

We also work with the team from Rainforest on different options we can offer for your reception, including beach barbeques, cruises etc. Contact us for more details.

Arriving in Marigot Bay, the romance begins...you'll take a water taxi across the calm waters of the bay, enjoying the fantastic scenery before you gently dock and step up onto the decking...
You're greeted warmly by your host for the evening who, like all the staff, is friendly, attentive and well trained to ensure your night is as special as possible...how about a drink before the meal...cocktail, champagne?
As you sit, you look out over the bay, the lights twinkling on the water, and very quickly, you really feel a tranquil peace. You sip at your drinks, and if you're very lucky, the chef arrives with a complimentary appetizer...a taste of things to come...!
When you're ready, take a table at the water's edge and enjoy choosing from the menu, easier said than done, since everything on the menu sounds mouthwatering!
Now, before we go on...we have eaten here ourselves, and, although you must have read things like this before...let us be quite honest here...the food, every course, was absolutely stunning....!
We really enjoyed our evening and the glorious food we enjoyed at the Rainforest Hideaway. And perfect for your wedding too! But don't just take our word for it, here's what Marcus and Jennifer told people on Trip Advisor. This is from his review:
"Someone pinch me, I have gone to heaven!!! Given a wedding worthy of a star! Here is my review of the entire experience...
From the time I first booked our photography with Ray, it was a complete pleasure. Ray was so accommodating to our requests, and his reputation had preceded him through word of mouth recommendations. We went through a stressful period 60 days before we left when we heard our resort wouldn't let us have a third party vendor shoot our wedding. Immediately we contacted Ray and asked if he and Kari at Tropic Isle Weddings could take over the entire event. We were amazed at the options, but even more pleased how they took all our stress away and made it easy for us, and restored all the fun and enchantment to our wedding. With so many choices, we were a bit unsure which setting would be perfect for us. Somehow we were drawn to Marigot bay, even though there were really no photos of it as they hadn't done a wedding at this site before. When we got to Marigot Bay the day of the wedding, I went with my parents first and the bride followed 15 mins later or so. I stood at the arch in utter amazement and awe of the beauty of the place. NO picture can do this place justice. Its beauty is so incredible I needed some time to take it in before the wedding. The ceremony was flawless, and amazing! My beautiful bride and I wed in all the splendor and beauty of the bay, with mountains and the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea as our back drop. We then followed around the property and took many photos. We both were so happy and I have to say EVERYTHING EXCEEDED our wildest expectations! EVERY EXPECTATION!

Then came the reception at the Rainforest Hideaway. Everything up to now was beyond belief, and the Rainforest Hideaway was no exception! The renowned Chef Jim Verity had prepared a special lunch for our wedding (If in St. Lucia you HAVE to sample his creations… absolutely incredible!). A six course culinary masterpiece! Yes, six courses of the most amazing cuisine which I have sampled, served to us in the romantic and beautiful setting of the Rainforest Hideaway. Let me give you an idea of the menu:
• Won-ton wrapped seared salmon with wasabi soy glaze. • Chilled roasted bell pepper & chili soup with Mozzarella crostini.
• Smoked tuna Carpaccio with a spinach salad Glazed with sesame teriyaki dressing
• Passion fruit sorbet • Sautee ginger rubbed shrimp & scallops with a squid ink risotto & a lime ginger cream
• Char-grilled fillet of Mahi-mahi with Thai spiced black bean corn & mussel chowder
• Followed by Chocolate terrine with mint anaglaise & wild berry compote.

After this festival of tastes, we all looked at each other and realized that we had just enjoyed one of the most incredible wedding experiences I could have ever imagined. Not only the exquisite food, but the beauty of the site! I can’t say enough about all of our friends for making this happen…Ray and Kari at Karay Media and Tropic Isle Weddings, and a special thank you to Chef Jim Verity and the Rainforest Hideaway! You have all given us a wedding which we will never forget! Truly a heavenly experience!"
